What is Screen Printing?Screen printing, also known as silk screening, is a method that involves pressing ink through a stenciled mesh screen to produce a desired image on a cotton or cotton-blend garment. The ink we use is highly durable, fade-resistant and does not wash off. If your graphic has multiple colours, we use a different screen for each to avoid any bleeding.

What is Embroidery?Embroidery is the method of creating a decorative design on fabric using a needle and thread. Our computerized embroidery machine can replicate your design perfectly, creating the classic hand-stitched aesthetic of the past. After you send us your design, we convert it to a digital format. This process is called digitizing and it tells our embroidery machine what to stitch and where on your apparel. We offer a large selection of thread colours so you can create beautiful and bright embroidery designs, and the finished product is highly durable and lasts for years.

What is Heat Transfer? There are two types of heat transfer: vinyl and digital print. Vinyl heat transfer is when a machine cuts out designs or letters from pieces of coloured vinyl. Then, a heat press transfers each vinyl piece onto the desired material. Vinyl heat transfer works best for printing hockey jerseys, sportswear, slogans, logos and more. Digital heat transfer is when your custom design or logo is printed on a special transfer paper with a solvent ink that is then applied to your fabric with heat and pressure via our heating press. Digital transfer is one of the best ways to customize a t-shirt or other garment. At RP Apparel, we can do vinyl transfer and digital transfer designs. Both are highly durable when properly cared for. We recommend turning the garments inside out and washing them in cold water. The best apparel items for heat transfer orders are cotton and poly/cotton blends.
